His Care

SCRIPTURE

Psalm 56:8
You keep track of all my sorrows.
You have collected all my tears in your bottle.
You have recorded each one in your book.

Matthew 10:29-31
What is the price of two sparrows—one copper coin? But not a single sparrow can fall to the ground without your Father knowing it. And the very hairs on your head are all numbered. So don’t be afraid; you are more valuable to God than a whole flock of sparrows.

Matthew 6:28b-30
Look at the lilies of the field and how they grow. They don’t work or make their clothing, yet Solomon in all his glory was not dressed as beautifully as they are. And if God cares so wonderfully for wildflowers that are here today and thrown into the fire tomorrow, he will certainly care for you. Why do you have so little faith?


PRAYER
Lord, thank you that you care so deeply for ______. Help her faith. I ask that as she feels the pain of sorrow in her heart, you would remind her that your attention and concern run so deep that you have bottled every tear, whether shed or not. You remember. I pray that as she sees a stray hair on her pillow, that she would feel your attentive care revise the count of the hairs on her head in that instant. I ask that as she awakes in the morning to the sweet music of the birds, that she would be reminded of her worth to you as the day begins. And I ask that the next time she ponders the beauty of a flower, and marvels at your attention to the intricate detail of each variety, that she would be impressed with your care of them. And then, as she watches the beauty of those flowers slowly wither…that she would know in that moment your surpassing care for her. Lord, take these simple pictures, and use them to mark her with a true awareness of your constant, sustaining, enduring love and care for ______. Amen.


ENCOURAGEMENT
As the flowers fade, know that his attentive care for you will not. You are supremely important to him. It is you he loves. You.
